A thriving practice needs more than clinicians.
The next generation of healthcare professionals is already in Mississippi classrooms. The Emerging Professionals program was built on a simple observation: most healthcare shadowing programs only open doors for pre-med students. We open doors for everyone.
A medical practice is an ecosystem — it needs operators, communicators, HR professionals, and marketers just as much as it needs clinicians. Our program reflects that reality by offering four distinct tracks, each providing real-world experience inside a working physician-led practice.

Every participant is placed in a track that aligns with their goals and interests. Tracks are not siloed — participants observe and interact across departments, gaining a full picture of how a physician-led practice operates from the inside.
- Clinical Track
- Medical aesthetics, wellness injections, IV therapy, and laser observation
- Operations Track
- Practice management, scheduling, patient experience, and front-office systems
- HR & People Track
- Hiring, onboarding, compliance, and team culture in a medical practice
- Marketing Track
- Brand strategy, social media, content creation, and patient communications
- Mentorship
- Direct access to Samuel Olaleye, MD and Ashley Harris, PhD
- Eligibility
- High school through college — all majors welcome
- Letters
- Letters of recommendation for qualifying participants

- Flexible — semester, summer, or year-round

Mentorship in the Emerging Professionals program is not delegated to a coordinator — it comes directly from Samuel Olaleye, MD and Ashley Harris, PhD. Participants have regular access to both physicians for career guidance, letters of recommendation, and honest conversations about what a career in healthcare actually looks like.
