What to expect from the PHCM Metabolic Reset™
This page exists because we believe you deserve to understand a program before you commit to it. What follows is an honest, physician-authored overview of how the PHCM Metabolic Reset™ works — from your first appointment through ongoing care.
How the program works
Four stages — each one physician-directed, each one building on the last.
- 01
Schedule your PHCM Metabolic Evaluation
Your entry point is a physician-led medical visit — the appointment where everything begins. Most insurance plans cover the visit; BCBS of Mississippi does not cover weight-management visits. This is not a sales consultation. It is a clinical appointment. Metabolic Reset™ medication is self-pay (out of pocket).
- 02
Meet with the PHCM physician
During your evaluation, the physician reviews your full health history, current medications, and metabolic goals. This conversation is thorough and unhurried. Nothing is prescribed before this review — candidacy is determined here.
- 03
Receive your personalized treatment plan
If approved, your clinician builds a plan tailored to your individual profile. Treatment protocols, administration methods, and follow-up cadence are all explained in detail before you leave. You will know exactly what to expect.
- 04
Begin your follow-up care
Ongoing support is available through two physician-directed follow-up plans: Bi-Weekly ($100/month) or Monthly ($200/month). Your clinician recommends the cadence that best supports your goals and monitors your progress at each visit.
What to expect
Clarity before commitment — a plain account of what this program looks like in practice.
At your evaluation
- A private, one-on-one appointment with the PHCM physician — not a medical assistant or coordinator
- A thorough review of your health history, current medications, and any prior treatments
- An honest conversation about whether this program is appropriate for you
- A clear explanation of your personalized treatment plan if you are approved
- Time to ask every question you have before any decision is made
In the weeks that follow
- Scheduled follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed
- Direct access to the PHCM team between appointments — no concern is too small
- Transparent communication about how your body is responding to treatment
- A conservative, safety-first approach at every stage
Medication support and side effects
- Semaglutide and tirzepatide can cause mild gastrointestinal side effects, including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, stomach discomfort, indigestion, or reduced appetite
- Some patients may also experience headache, fatigue, dizziness, or injection-site reactions
- Your physician will review medication-specific risks, warning signs, and when to contact the care team before treatment begins
- Patients receive take-home materials and food recommendations designed to help minimize mild medication-related side effects
What this program is not
- A quick fix or a one-size-fits-all protocol
- A program that prescribes treatment before a physician evaluation
- A subscription service that continues without clinical oversight
- A program that names specific medications publicly — your clinician determines what is appropriate for you
What physician oversight makes possible
The PHCM Metabolic Reset™ is not a supplement program or a wellness subscription. It is a physician-directed medical program — and that distinction matters.
Individualized treatment
No two patients receive the same plan. Your treatment is built around your health history, your goals, and your physician's clinical judgment — not a template.
Ongoing clinical monitoring
Follow-up appointments are not optional check-ins. They are the mechanism by which your physician monitors your response, adjusts your plan, and ensures your safety.
Evidence-based protocols
Every treatment used in this program is physician-approved and grounded in current medical evidence. Your clinician will explain the rationale behind your specific plan.
A team that stays with you
The PHCM team is available between appointments. If something feels off, you reach out — and someone responds. That access is part of what you are enrolling in.
